Why do you want to climb Mt Kilimanjaro?
It’s a great opportunity to visit the hearth of Africa doing something really special and also contributing to UNICEF.
What has been the most challenging thing about this initiative so far?
Getting ready physically and mentally for the event. I’m so excited about it.
What is the most interesting thing you have learned about yourself so far?
So many things to take care to get ready for the challenge. It’s a bit stressing. This journey it’s different than the ones I’m use to do.
How are you raising your UNICEF funds?
People from work, family and friends. I asked everyone for my birthday to donate to UNICEF instead of giving me presents.
If there was going to be a Kilimanjaro playlist for your climb, what song would you choose?
“Eye of the tiger” from Survivor. I think many people will pick this one, it’s a classic when doing exercise.
What luxury are you planning on taking up the mountain with you?
Compact camera and powerbank to make sure I don’t miss a good picture.
Is there anything you are ‘dreading’?
Altitude sickness. So far the most higher spot I’ve been it’s 5000 mts in Andes Mountains. And Kili is 6000 mts.
What are you looking forward to most?
Arrive there and fully enjoy the experience. Visiting this part of Africa and climbing Kili is a dream come true.
