Job Title:
Commercial Transformation Manager
Why do you want to climb Mt Kilimanjaro?
To be able to look back during, straight after and for years to come and be able to say “We did that”.
What has been the most challenging thing about this initiative so far?
Finding time to do long training walks.
What is the most interesting thing you have learned about yourself so far?
I can make a dramatic difference to my health just by thinking more about what I eat (and drink).
How are you raising your UNICEF funds?
Usual friends and family relationships. Everyone knows that Christmas and birthday for me are all about donations instead of presents. We are also planning a couple more fundraisers at work between now and February when Team Twende make the big trip.
If there was going to be a Kilimanjaro playlist for your climb, what song would you choose?
Just something beautifully made and completely uplifting – so “A Thousand Hallelujahs” by The Shires.
What luxury are you planning on taking up the mountain with you?
Headphones. Music is an essential part of my life.
Is there anything you are ‘dreading’?
Not making it to the summit of Kilimanjaro because of altitude sickness – I have no idea if it will affect me or not.
What are you looking forward to most?
Just having only the mountain and the team around me to think about.
