Group Customer Operations Director

Why do you want to climb Mt Kilimanjaro?
Because Kilimanjaro is an awe-inspiring mountain – it is a huge challenge encompassing mind, body and soul and especially worthwhile knowing we are raising money for such an important cause.

What has been the most challenging thing about this initiative so far?
Finding time to get fit!

What is the most interesting thing you have learned about yourself so far?
That my determination to be properly fit and healthy for the challenge has been powerful enough to overcome a lifetime’s belief that I can’t run (4 months ago I would NEVER have believed I could run 10k – let alone before breakfast, 3 times a week!)

How are you raising your UNICEF funds?
I am raising funds with family and friends – I’m planning on hosting a poker night and arranging a coffee morning, as well as some fun events with Team Twende.

If there was going to be a Kilimanjaro playlist for your climb, what song would you choose?
I’d choose Walking on Sunshine by Katrina and the Waves – something lively and uplifting!

What luxury are you planning on taking up the mountain with you?
Jelly Babies… lots of them!

Is there anything you are ‘dreading’?
Steep edges – I really don’t like heights!

What are you looking forward to most?
Such a hard question as there’s a multitude of amazing things to look forward to, but I’ll start with the view!
