This Challenge means a lot and it is a big opportunity for me. First of all,  is a big chance to climb one the more emblematic mountains in the world and which place better than Africa. I went last year to Africa for my first time and got in love with it and it culture. I travelled through America, Europe and Asia but until last year, I had never been in Africa, so having the chance to go there again is incredible. I really looking forward to know as much as I can of the Tanzanian culture while I been there. We will spend just a few days so for sure I will have to go back :-).  Secondly this challenge is related to hiking… one of my hobbies so what more can I ask. Obviously, the main goal of this challenge is to fundraise money for UNICEF, so I have the opportunity to raise money for kids doing something that I love and in an incredible place… no more words need it to explain how much I am looking forward to.

The path to get to the summit is going to be tough and it starts now. The most difficult thing I think is going to be the fundraising. In Spain this kind of companies fundraising challenges are not very common and due to that is hard to raise money. But for sure the “Spanish-Team” will find the way to raise the money we have as target and we will help each other to do it. This is another thing that I like from this challenge, that we will have to work as a team to help each other now… and in the mountain.

The training for this challenge is not going to be easy but is the thing that I like the most. I practice triathlon so I used to train and actually I will use my training for triathlon for this challenge. I’ll have to add hiking routes to my trainings but as I said I love to do it so I will start going on Sundays ( besides going out with my bike) with friends to the mountain. The Spanish group that will go on this third team already talk about it and we will do some excursion and member of the second and first teams will join us. The adventure starts now!

Regarding the equipment, I will need for this challenge. I really don´t start thinking about it. I have several equipment from my trips (backpacking) and from my trekking routes that I like to do. For sure, I will have to ask some friends for some material but I will think about this in the following months.
