With the Kilimanjaro trip coming up in February nerves haven’t crept up to me yet. Currently, I’m in the head down and let’s get organised stage!!
Thankfully training-wise I do feel in a good sport.
I’ve always been an active person and I ran the Brighton Marathon in April posting a 4:46 time which I’m thrilled with. More importantly, I have carried the rhythm running home from work once a week which is 10 miles (minus the odd holiday here and there)
What’s new to me and something I am keen to learn is the art of fundraising. This is something I’m not strong on, Asking people for their hard earned money. I’ve had a good start raising around £300 but eager to keep going and think of new ideas.
Also, I’ve taken it on myself to speak to previous climbers like Dan P, Will M, Pippa H who all have given me some great advice! Also, agreed to lend me some of their kit which is always helpful 🙂
Looking forward to the challenge and excited to see what the next couple of months bring.
