With an ear and sinus infection impacting on energy levels, my training has taken a backseat in the last couple of weeks.  While I wait for the antibiotics to take effect, I have been focusing on fundraising plans and a spot of decluttering!

My first event will be a book sale on 11th August – a great opportunity to get together with friends and free up some space on our shelves – although I am hoping everyone will take home more books than they bring!

From there, I am planning a car boot sale over the August Bank Holiday weekend, which Julie has kindly offered to help with.

Thanks to all my lovely friends for pledges of help and things to sell – from books and bric-a-brac to homemade chocolate and banana muffins.  Hopefully these events will raise some welcome funds to support UNICEF as well as giving my friends and I the chance to find new homes for our unwanted items.
