How To Eat An Elephant…

Lake District challenge is almost here. When someone asks me when the UK adventure  will happen and I say, “next week”, I can’t help feeling some concern. Am I prepared enough? Did I train properly for the Lake District? Will I forget some important equipment at home? Will I feel good there? what if I want to give up after the first day? what if I fail?  A lot of questions come into my mind these days, and the worst thing, the weather. It is now raining there, what if I can’t stand the rain in the mountain for 3 days?

I have been thinking about these feelings; I think it is not wrong to have concerns and to be bit worried, this leads me to be better prepared for the adventure and to not underestimate the Lake District Challenge, that is why we call it “Challenge”.

I also have to say that concerns are offset by the excitement and big enthusiasm. I can’t wait to meet Team Ubuntu colleagues, spend time and share all this great experience with them. I can wait no longer!!

Ana, be prepared and plan ahead! And most importantly be ready to change your plans if need be. I know you will do great and have the time of your life with the rest of Ubuntu. And don’t forget: Accepting help is not cheating 🙂
