Things did not start to plan yesterday with delays at airports meant we didn’t arrive and eat till after 10pm. In bed no earlier than 12.
Our guides in the morning changed our intial route from Helvellyn to another (which I didn’t catch the name) that gave more options incase the group struggled.
And honestly it was amazing !
Everyone in the group bonded so well despite only spending hours together and I was surprised on how quickly the time/miles went by.
This was a intial concern for me as I’m used to a running pace with sports and in London we have a philosophy that everyone who isn’t quick enough is in your way!
No ankle issue which is a bonus and the only negative I could take was I broke the nozzle on my camel pack which meant more water went on me than in my mouth 🙁
Very tired now but excited for Skiddaw tomorrow.

Amazing efforts Rickie and everyone in Team Ubuntu! Sounds like some unforeseen issues and a change in plan didn’t dampen anyone’s spirit!
