Many thanks to everyone who donated money during our “Vienna sausage cooking day”this week.  It feels a long time ago, since I am now hiking up the mountains of Britain’s beautiful Lake District with Team Ubuntu.  But just a few days ago, I was cooking sausages in Vienna!

I decided to cook original “Käsekrainer and Bratwurst” sausages for the Kilimanjaro Challenge to raise money for UNICEF.  I cooked lots of sausages and raised more than €250.

It was absolutely perfect because Chris Angel held his Governance, Risk& Compliance training on the same day and as a result a lot of people were in the office and able to enjoy the sausages and make generous donations.

This was the first time we fried sausages in our office and we served them with some additional toppings like fresh horseradish, special mustard, pickled cucumbers and bread.  The whole office smelled like a sausage stand, but everyone in the office enjoyed it.

Special thanks to Anna and Martin Niedermayer – Martin was our grill expert and his skills added to the great taste of our sausages!

Thank you to everyone who donated to UNICEF – you all helped make this step towards my Kilimanjaro goal lots of fun!
