Christmas Karaoke and Kilimanjaro approaching!

San Silvestre Vallecana, bye 2019, hello 2020
January 7, 2020

Some thoughtful Christmas gifts – and an early birthday present – mean I now have almost all the kit I need.  I’ve even been lucky enough to gain first use of a brand new sleeping bag after the one I planned to borrow from Dad got written off in a tumble drier when it was sent away to be cleaned 🙂

A walk with Dad on Christmas Eve above Glen Fruin gave me the opportunity to try out new socks, waterproof and my GoPro.  My filming skills definitely require some further practice – and I am looking forward to plenty more training walks over the next 6 weeks before we go!

I’m off up to Yorkshire this weekend for a couple of days’ walking, to kick start my last 6 weeks of training and hopefully hone my photography technique!
