More photos from Team Ubuntu: Third Cave

We’ve just had our daily satellite call with Team Ubuntu and they reached Third Cave safely at 1pm today. After lunch, some very welcome hot drinks, and a rest, most of the team is having a short acclimatisation walk this afternoon, with a few of them choosing to rest in camp.

All are in good spirits and really enjoying the experience, despite a few mild tummy upsets and headaches that come and go.  This is very common on the mountain and the guides have assured us that all of the climber’s stats (blood oxygen levels and heart rates) are being monitored regularly and are normal for the mountain.

“Every single one of us is really enjoying the climb,” says Paul Marklew.  “The weather is beautiful and dry with blue skies.”

“The hotspot we found yesterday was very unusual,” says Christine, one of our guides from Maximum Adventures. “We won’t expect to be able to send any more photos until we descend.”

Good luck, Team Ubuntu…be safe and stay healthy!
