Where’s the time gone?

Less than two weeks to go! Time to panic?

Target Achieved!

10 days… literally 10 days till I fly out.

I thought I’d feel scared to be honest. I’m a littler nervous at best, but when I really think about it my overriding feeling is pride and excitement. Proud of what I’ve achieved so far and thrilled about what’s to come.

Looking back on it, the last 12 months have been super intense.

I’ve spent over 100 hours in the gym, nearly 30 hours hiking and another 24 hours pratting around in the park (what the locals thought, I have no idea).

Considering my love affair with food and wine, the fact I’ve managed to get a real grip on my diet for the first time in ages (read “ever”) is probably just as much of a feat as the exercising.

I’ve worked with the UK team to put on an amazing fundraiser bringing in over £1,300 for Unicef.

I’ve personally raised well over a £1,000 for Unicef (though I’m hoping to get a good chunk  more in before I go).

All this in what’s been the busiest year of my life, buying my first house and taking on more responsibility at work than I’ve ever had before.

To cap it off, I’ve got to know some amazing people. Some I’ve known a while, but not on this level and others I’d never had met in person otherwise. Together we’ve formed a close, empathetic and supportive team that is just days away from achieving something awesome.

So like I say, I started the process with more trepidation than I have now. Given how far we’ve come, I think it’s the mountain that should be scared of us!

Can’t believe it’s only 10 days to go. We’re really proud of you and looking forward to hearing all about it afterwards.
