After Three Peaks is before Kili

The 3 peaks haven been conquered by Team Twende – what a weekend.
Three great hikes with all weather conditions possible.

The physical part was manageable and I didn`t have any problems – the more challenging for me was the slow pace.

Being used to sports where speed and agility is essential, walking slow isn`t really what I am used to – you would often find me trying to pass the guides or providing my help in carrying a second backpack.
But the slow pace is walked for a reason. First of all, we are a team and there are people with different conditions. Some are physically fit with no limitations and other ones are not – the group has to stick together so we all can support each other. Also, we are preparing for Kilimanjaro, where in those heights your body does not function on 100%.

I may raise the pace in my personal training sessions but when we are back as a group there is no need to rush and we will stick together to climb Kilimanjaro.

We will win the race slow and steady.
