Halloween fun and fundraising!

So the Kilimanjaro challenge is getting closer and I thought I had everything done and organised, just needed to wait for my visa, how wrong was I.

I posted off my passport and visa application form two weeks ago to the Tanzanian Consulate only to get my password back the next day, (fast work huh). So where is my visa, I thought, as its not included in the envelope, so I waited and I waited and I waited for the postman to send it out, nothing arrived.

Then one day this week I sat next to a fellow Ascenders team climber (Keris) who was completing her visa application form, “oh”, I said, “I still don’t have mine”. “You have your passport back right?”, she said, yessssssss, “well its in the passport printed on the page……..”, “whaaaatttt”. Well guess what, a frantic phone call home and my wife proved Keris right and me wrong, visa accomplished, tick.

Now that’s the power of team work and helping each other out. ! thank you Keris.

#learningonthewayup (how true is that)

Great story!!! I wonder how many “whaaaat”-moments are still out there waiting for all of us over the next 5 weeks.
