A very different update this week – direct from the production suite at the Twende Sound & Vision studios here in the UK.

Preparations are well advanced for a mid-December launch of the Team Twende charity single and accompanying video, which is set to be a Christmas #1 around Europe, and of course an internet sensation.

With all proceeds going towards our team UNICEF sponsorship target, this is truly a fantastic team effort.

The music is provided by Dan “The Axeman” Parnell and myself, and is a cover of The Lemonheads  1996 classic “The Outdoor Type” – the heartwarming story of someone desperately trying to fit in by appearing to be into various outdoor activities (camping, rock-climbing, mountain-biking etc), but finally admitting he has been lying all along, and that he would prefer to be at home watching TV.  (This of course is a fictional story and is in no way a reflection of how we feel about our upcoming adventure on Kilimanjaro….)

The video will star the full team in various amusing scenarios filmed on location in UK, Spain and Austria.

The logistical challenges of the team being spread around Europe have been overcome using the wonders of modern technology and with Dan’s creative drive, the finished piece will be something that will not only be a significant fund-raiser for UNICEF, but something we can look back on in years to come and say “What on EARTH were we thinking?!”
