After a rocky start, involving a mad dash around the garden with umbrellas and tarpaulins, the sun decided to shine on my fundraising book sale this afternoon.

I have lots of people to thank for rallying around with donations of books, home baking, handmade chocolate and precious time helping me set up the sale, make the teas and clear up afterwards.  It was lovely to see so many friends and neighbours and most left with a few more books than they brought!

Despite the success of the sale, all my generous donors have ensured my summer house is fuller than ever, with items for a car boot sale in a couple of weeks’ time 🙂
