I have been asked these days how the Lake district challenge experience was, and it is difficult to explain it in words. I could use the greatest adjectives in the world, but they wouldn’t express all that had happened during these unforgettable days. All my thoughts and fears I brought to UK with me were necessary to realise and learn that I don’t have to control every situation, because I can trust in my resiliency and ability to process situations as they come at me and I can count on friends to face this. Team Ubuntu became my biggest friend in just some hours, and I could take risks in a natural way while sharing feelings in a safe environment. Lake District challenge changed my mind and mood for some days, and I hope it lasts for a very long time!! I really had an amazing time there sharing smiles, complicity, strengths, weaknesses, feelings, laughs, experiences, hiking, respect, respect for mountains, trust, fundraising ideas for UNICEF, help, worries, freedom, happiness, team spirit, friendship, meeting interesting colleagues, listening to great personal experiences, learning from everybody… Thank you Team Ubuntu, all of you!!!! and also a big thank you to Clare, Michelle, Sarah and Kirstin (even if she is in Team Ubuntu, so, double thank you 😊), and our guides Mike, James and Christine!
Thank you all supporters and I can’t wait for Kilimanjaro!!!
