It’s been a while..!
January 16, 2020

Despite enjoying a few good walks over the Christmas and New Year period, it was still good to kick-start 2020 – and the last few weeks before we head to Tanzania – with a weekend of training in Yorkshire.

Although mild for the time of year, the weather was not inspiring and we had no views from higher ground other than our noses! Nonetheless, there was a sense of satisfaction in covering around 21 miles and 1200m of ascent over the two days.

The scenery may not have been visible from higher ground – and there was no reward for the wet slog up Buckden Pike but there were some impressive sights at lower levels from the picturesque Janet’s Foss to the impressive limestone gorge of Gordale Scar and the imposing Malham Cove amphitheatre.
