Team Ubuntu and their team of guides, porters, cooks and helpers have arrived at Horombo Camp for their final night of camping on the mountain.

Everyone is well and healthy:  no more headaches, no one has any nausea and everyone is strong and well.

“All the team are doing brilliantly,” says Mike of Maximum Adventures. “We have an exciting night tonight as we hand over the tips to our guides, porters, cooks and helpers.  It is always lovely to see the huge smiles on the faces of the people who have helped us so much for thea last 6 days – it’s wonderful to be able to do something for them.”

“I have been amazed with this team – they really have been so healthy and well and the speed that they went in getting off the mountain yesterday and again today in heading down to Horombo is remarkable,” adds Mike. “They work together and they’re all doing great.  They have done a brilliant job during the whole climb.”

The team will have one last night in their tents and then do the final hike down to the Kilimanjaro National Park gates, arriving at around lunchtime tomorrow. Then, they’ll be taken back to the Lodge for showers, a rest, and a well-deserved celebration dinner.
