One of my objectives following our 3 Peaks adventure was to get stronger (fitter/healthier) ahead of our trip to Kilimanjaro. Not only to reduce my risk of altitude sickness but also to ensure I make the most out of this trip – and enjoy it.
I’m a procrastinator. So I set about planning what I was going to do…..and carried on planning. So, I’ve changed tactic.
I’ve asked my (wonderful) team mates to challenge me to do things to push myself physically – so far, I’ve got running challenges, a swimming challenge, a skipping challenge and a ‘banning sugar’ challenge…..if I fail any of the challenges set by my team mates, I pay a fine (which goes to their donation fund).
So win-win – either I get fitter and healthier or Unicef gets money out of me!
Watch this space – I’ll let you know how I get on.

Great idea, Denise! But don’t be too hard on yourself 🙂
Top work Denise, I’m looking forward to hear how you get on!
Good luck with all the challenges DC, with the possible exception of the swimming one : ) x x x
Best of luck Denise!
I also echo Sonja… be kind on yourself also
