So anyone who has been following my progress will know that I found the 3 National Peaks tough, and as predicted, my old man knees creaked and complained all the way down.
So, I thought I’d double down on the agony, and on Saturday I will be trying to do the 3 highest peaks in Yorkshire in 1 day….
Which is likely to take us 12 hours.
As we will be covering 24 miles which is 40k (with a little rounding up).
And over 2,000 meters in elevation – or as I’m trying not to think of it as; Ben Nevis + 2/3rds Snowdon.
So its a huge relief that I will be doing it with fellow Twender Rachel Procter and Ascenders Joe Marsh and Keris Elliot.
Its a bit like a weird DC/Marvel cross over – but I’m really looking forward to mixing the teams.
And if it weren’t for having a cold, and the aches, and dreading the descents – I’d probably be really looking forward to tomorrow!
Here’s a few pics from when Rach and I did 1 of the 3 Pen-y-Ghent for practise in September…
In my mind its just going to be like that, just 3 x harder…
