Time is just flying by and all the various preparations needed to make our adventure a success are jostling for priority – fundraising, training, vaccinations, visas….all the while being at the mercy of KAS (or Kit Acquisition Syndrome – a terrible affliction that means all your spare time is taken up with buying new kit, or thinking about buying new kit).

We need to be like my local zombie cow-gang.  You can see from the header image – they are becoming inexorably and terrifyingly organised.  I watched them for a few minutes in this field and they just filed in through the gate in a silent and orderly manner.  I didn’t hang around to find out what had brought them to me, but the profound effect of the encounter has set me thinking…..

Note to self:  Add “cattle-prod” to kit shopping list.
