When you get off the plane and into the arrivals hall and the luggage belt is empty what do you do?

The look of excitement on your face drops, you turn red and start sweating the panic sets in. All the others in the team start picking up their bags and loading the trollies, “why me, you start thinking”.

Then we all realise that all Heathrow UK team bags have been left behind at Amsterdam during transit. Simon, Keris, Claire, Pippa and Hilary left standing in the clothes on our backs.

This is where you really value the team around you, so much great support and offers of sharing items we need.

I felt so humbled this morning at breakfast when the team started pulling together key items they could share and donate ensuring we where comfortable and offering that plan C. If we have to climb on Saturday without bags we should all be sorted thanks to our brilliant team support pulling together.

Thanks team mates I’m felling blessed to be climbing with such supportive people.

Roll on tonight when hopefully our bags arrives. In the meantime I found my swimming trunks in my cabin bag, result.
