Over the last days I started piling up everything I want to take to Kili. Seeing my duffle and rucksack next to the pile, I got a little concerned (which is a euphemism for a medium panic) if physics would allow to fit all of that stuff into those bags. In my mind I was already buying a larger duffle.
Just to know how bad the situation is, I wanted to give it a try yesterday – at first I just put my sleeping bag into the duffel and it looked very bad:
But then I was recollecting myself and focusing on my many years of Tetris experience – and let the magic happen: I actually managed to get the whole lot of Kili kit into my bags. What was supposed to be a packing trial to assess the extent of the problem turned out to be my final packing. Now I’ll literally be sitting on packed bags for the next 6 days.

I hope you’re starting to feel a little excited (euphemism for “just can’t wait”) about the trip now you’re packed and ready to go!
Best of luck!
Thank you 🙂 Excitement is definitely kicking in, replacing the panic step by step!
Inspirational stuff…. can I borrow your bag please Mary Poppins?
I’m afraid you won’t get around buying yourself an own bag, all that Biltong won’t fit into mine 😛
