Why do you want to climb Mt Kilimanjaro?
Climbing Kilimanjaro is not only a physical challenge I would like to take, but also a great opportunity to get to know various people across the company better, since I have been with Eurotax for only 8 months by now.

What has been the most challenging thing about this initiative so far?
Most challenging so far is how to prepare for the altitude. Thanks to Austria’s countryside the challengers of Austria have plenty opportunities to do training hikes, but you never know how it’ll be going at 5000m above sea level.

What is the most interesting thing you have learned about yourself so far?
During preparation and training an interesting thing that came up to me was that through my daily dogwalks I have been already quite fit for longer walks and hikes.

How are you raising your UNICEF funds?
I’m mostly using my social media accounts sharing my JustGiving Page there and honestly I’m counting on Christmas!

If there was going to be a Kilimanjaro playlist for your climb, what song would you choose?
All the way up (Fat Joe).

What luxury are you planning on taking up the mountain with you?
I’m planning to purchase a Tanzanian SIM card to have the luxury to reach out to friends & fam and be able to post Kili pics on social media.

Is there anything you are ‘dreading’?
Definitively the altitude sickness, because that’s something rather uncontrollable that you can hardly prepare for.

What are you looking forward to most?
I’m really keen on the physical challenge, but I’m also excited for the views, not only at Kilimanjaro, but also the three peaks in UK. And I think being with colleagues all the time and getting to know them from a less work-related side will be a lot of fun!
