One of my commitments when applying to Autovista Kilimajaro Challenge was to be involved with UNICEF and to know more about this organisation. I think I am doing it; besides working on the 2,000€ fundraising for the challenge, I have been reading and investigating about their work and projects to help children around the world, their job is impressive. UNICEF provides 80% of the world’s life-saving food, making sure that children grow up healthy, happy and strong. Some days ago, I decided to support UNICEF making a monthly donation. I know more than ever than UNICEF saves millions of children’s lives. I also knew that monthly donations are important, because you become part of that long-term work to keep the world’s most vulnerable children safe. For example, by donating £16 each month, you could help UNICEF equip health workers with vaccine cold boxes to make sure that the life-saving vaccines against diseases like polio, whooping cough and measles are kept cool enough to remain effective. This means that children in even the most remote places can be safe from disease. A donation to UNICEF means you really are making a difference to children’s lives. I invite you to do it.

I went through my Kilimanjaro application form and this was an extract of one of my answers: “Raising money for UNICEF will be also a boost to my energies in the process. Besides, this will help me to be more involve with this organisation from now on and I would try to translate this to people who donate”. I am happy that this is happening, because UNICEF matters.

I also get my wristbands, love them!
